Facebook Ads – How to Increase Brand Awareness

Brand awareness is defined as the extent to which consumers are able to recall or recognize a brand. So how do you get started? Take a look at some helpful tips below!

Step 1: Know your audience. The first step in generating brand awareness is thinking about who your brand speaks to. Who is the likely consumer of your product? Create a full profile of who your product speaks to so that you can target them accurately.  

Step 2: Create a plan for tracking. When you launch Facebook ads you’ll be able to see how many people you’ve reached and how many Impressions your ad received (among other metrics available through the Facebook Advertising platform). But how will you really determine success? Will success be asking customers after they purchase how they found you? Will it be through a focus group asking if they recognize your logo? Make sure you have a concrete plan to measure success, as this is pivotal in ensuring your ads are working to help make your goals a reality! 

Step 3: Be flexible! When advertising on Facebook you’ll want to keep an open mind. Remember that your first idea may not be the right one for your target demographic. Keep making ads and testing out new language, videos etc. Until you’re seeing the results you like! 

Step 4: Consult a marketing strategist! When in doubt don’t waste time and money when you’re not confident in your ability to create graphics, launch and track ad campaigns and strategize budgets, benchmarks etc. Talking with a professional will likely save you time and money and ultimately have your ads working faster!
